The primary mission of Stand for the Troops (SFTT) is to identify and support results-oriented treatment and therapies for Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to help American Veterans reclaim their lives.
Traditional treatments for the invisible wounds of TBI and PTSD currently used by the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs have largely proven unsuccessful for the men and women who suffer daily from these conditions.
A new generation of effective, affordable, non-pharmaceutical treatments and therapies is offering real hope and healing to the Veterans of America’s wars. SFTT puts its resources behind:
- A Task Force of medical, psychological and military researchers and practitioners who volunteer their time and expertise to identify and share effective existing and emerging treatments and therapies
- The ability to replicate these treatments and therapies using trusted providers in communities across the country
- The publication of research on advancements in curing TBI and PTSD by funding doctors at New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI)
